The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has scheduled its National Caucus and National Executive Committee meetings for August 2 and 3, 2023.

This was stated in a statement issued by the party’s Acting National Secretary, Barrister Festus Fuanter, on Friday in Abuja.

He stated that the meeting notice was issued in accordance with the APC constitution, and that the National Caucus meeting will be held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The National Chairman, Deputy National Chairman (North and South), National Secretary, National Legal Adviser, National Treasurer, National Organising Secretary, and National Women Leader are expected to attend the meeting.

Others include the National Youth Leader, the National Leader of Persons Living with Disabilities, past and present Nigerian Presidents and Vice Presidents who are members of the party, current presidential and vice presidential candidates, present and past Speakers and Deputy Speakers of the House of Representatives, and others.

The party’s NEC meeting, on the other hand, is scheduled for August 3 at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.

The ruling party had previously scheduled the two meetings for July 18 and 19.

It was forced to postpone the two meetings, however, following the resignation of the former National Chairman and Secretary, as well as Senators Abdullahi Adamu and Iyiola Omisore, on July 16.

The NEC is the party’s highest policy-making organ.
