The FCT Police Command, Tuesday morning, repelled a 4-man robbery gang at 7th Avenue of Gwarinpa in Abuja.

Operatives arrived on the scene soon after the attackers dispossessed their victims of cash and other items.

ASP Mariam Yusuf, Public Relations Officer, announced the operation in a statement.

Two members of the gang were killed while attempting to escape with the stolen items while the others fled.

All the loot including computers, mobile phones and a huge sum of money were recovered.

Also on Tuesday, a notorious gang of armed robbers attacked and stole the belongings of a resident at Apo-Dutse along the Apo axis.

The spokeswoman confirmed that the guard is responding to treatment.

“The Commissioner of Police has launched a manhunt to arrest and prosecute the fleeing suspects while commiserating with the families and friends of the deceased”, she said.
