The former Edo State governor stated that President Tinubu should not be held accountable for the previous administration’s judgments, whether they were correct or not.

Oshiomhole stated that President Tinubu always prioritizes national interests before party ones.

He stated, “My first loyalty is to Nigeria.” Before the last president left office, I publicly decried what I considered as reckless actions aimed at dehumanizing an already suffering populace.

“I felt it wasn’t what the then-president promised. I disassociated myself with those policies, and I’m glad I wasn’t the only one.

“Some governors sought the court to protest certain initiatives. We are still dealing with the long-term implications of these policies.

“Yes, this is our party’s platform. Tinubu further stated that he was not a minister or adviser. He never accepted a contract with the government, and he cannot be held accountable for anything the government did, right or wrong,” he stated.
