Nigerian music sensation, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed plans to celebrate his birthday this year with a generous donation of N300 million.
The donation will be split between orphanages and a charity focused on helping young people stay away from drug abuse and addiction.

Davido made the announcement on Monday via X, writing, “Once again, my birthday this year, we are donating to orphanages and a charity that helps young people stay away from drug abuse and addiction. This year, it’s N300m. Details to follow soon.”
This charitable gesture is part of Davido’s ongoing tradition of giving back to society during his birthday celebrations. It follows a series of similar donations in previous years aimed at supporting vulnerable communities in Nigeria.
Earlier this year, in February, the artist made a significant N300 million donation to orphanages across the country. Additionally, in November 2021, Davido contributed N250 million to 292 orphanages in honor of his 29th birthday.
The musician’s philanthropic efforts also included a N237 million donation in July 2023, benefiting over 400 orphanages nationwide.
