According to Kiyawa, the victim’s father received a call from an unknown individual the day after her disappearance, demanding a ransom of N3 million. โ€œFollowing the development, a team of Anti-kidnapping Squad, led by SP Aliyu Muhammad Auwal, was raised to rescue the victim and apprehend the suspect,โ€ Kiyawa explained.

After sustained efforts and intelligence-led operations, the suspect, identified as 23-year-old Saifullahi Abba from Kofar Fada Quarters in Wudil LGA, was arrested on November 28, 2024, in Luran Village, Dawakin Kudu LGA. โ€œThe suspect has since confessed to the crime, including leading detectives to where the victim was being held hostage,โ€ Kiyawa added.
