Gov. Umaru Bago of Niger has called on Nigerians to key into President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda for the success of the administration.

He made the call during a live broadcast to commemorate the country’s 63th independence anniversary in Minna on Sunday.

Bago, represented by the Deputy Governor, Mr Yakubu Garba, also urged Nigerians to understand and respect each other’s diversities for peace and progress of the country.

“We should let our commitment to support governments at all levels remain unwavering, our administration is focused on delivering people oriented projects that have direct impact on the lives of masses to change their economic and social status.

“As Muslims or Christians, we are one people under God, North or South, we are all Nigerians with one destiny netted together in the project Nigeria.

“We have to coexist without any acrimony, rancour and hostility, rather with compassion and mutual respect for one another so as to overcome our challenges as a nation,” he said.

According to him, let us cherish the dreams of our forefathers, the diversity of our culture, and the unity that binds us.

He, however, gave an assurance that his administration was poised to see a justifiable management of state resources and solicited the support of residents in delivering on the dividends of democracy.

The Governor disclosed that the state government was already building a new Niger state through renewed security strategies to ensure safety of lives and property.

He reiterate his administration’s commitment to ensuring that lasting peace returns to all troubled parts of the state and advised the public to remain vigilant and report to appropriate authorities, any suspicious movements.
