Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Monday swore in seven commissioners, 12 special advisers, and six permanent secretaries to strengthen governance in the state.

The newly appointed commissioners include Shehu Wada Sagagi as Commissioner for Investment, Commerce, and Industry; Dr. Ismail Danmaraya for Commerce; Dr. Gaddafi Shehu for Power and Sustainable Energy; Dr. Dahiru Hashim for Environment; Dr. Abdussalam for Rural Development; Abdullahi Waya for Information; and Dr. Nura Iro Maaji for Public Procurement.
During the swearing-in ceremony, Governor Yusuf emphasized his administration’s focus on key sectors, including human development, road construction, health, agriculture, and education.
“These areas would see heavy presence of government,” Yusuf stated.
He further urged the appointees to discharge their duties with integrity and remain guided by the fear of God, adding, “Making Kano great is their call to duty.”
