The Vice-Chancellor, Yusuf Mautama Sule University, Kano, Prof. Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa, has directed the university’s Student Affairs Division to release coster, tata, and luxurious buses for use by students at the rate of 50 Naira only per student.

Prof. Kurawa also launched 10 tricycles in a partnership with a businessman, Alhaji Sabo, for the conveyance of YUMSITES to shuttle from the main campus gate to lecture halls and theatres at the rate of 10 Naira only.

According to the Vice-Chancellor, the move is to provide an enabling environment for the students.

“It will provide a better and more conducive environment for learning because students will not have to suffer by trekking for minutes before reaching their lecture halls all tired”, He said.

YUMSITES expressed their joy and gratefulness towards the Vice-Chancellor for they have been yearning for this service especially when they heard of the low price.

“Dear Prof., the numerous successes recorded are, without doubt, surely a sign for a brighter YUMSUK. We are grateful to you for being the most vibrant Vice-Chancellor YUMSUK has ever had in her history.”
