“The objectives of this conference are to unite researchers in these critical areas and to facilitate contributions towards national development in Science, Engineering, and Technology amidst the challenges posed by fuel subsidy removal,” he stated.

Highlighting the institution’s strides, Dr. Sabo Wada noted the adoption of alternative energy sources such as solar systems to power daily operations, reducing dependency on conventional generators.

He urged participants to glean insights from the conference’s resource persons and harness the platform for ideation on pertinent issues related to its theme.

Meanwhile, delivering the keynote address, Deputy Rector Dr. Sani Jibril Gumel underscored the timeliness of the conference, organized jointly by four schools within the Polytechnic and the Informatics Research Institute Kazaure. Dr. Gumel advocated for the integration of renewable energy sources to address the energy crisis exacerbated by fuel subsidy removal.

“The conference aims to establish frameworks for Technical Vocational Education and Training (T.V.E.T) to alleviate the current energy challenges,” Dr. Sani Jibril Gumel affirmed, expressing gratitude to participants and reaffirming the institution’s commitment to research and development collaborations.

Contributing to the discussions, Malam Shu’aibu Danladi Gimba, Head of Department of Estate Management in the School of Environmental Studies, underscored the urgency of the conference theme, “Harnessing Technical Vocational Education Training (T.V.E.T) Synergy for Clean Energy Generation in the Post Subsidy Regime.” He emphasized the need to synergize ideas to address the current energy crisis.

The conference, scheduled from July 9th to 12th, 2024, seeks to foster collaboration among stakeholders towards sustainable solutions in energy generation.
