A yet to be identified man who pranked a Niqabite with a cutlass has been arrested says human rights group.
In a statement posted on their Facebook page, the group stated, “The guy that pranked an innocent niqobite in the viral video has been arrested.”
The organization had previously appealed for information regarding the identity of the prankster.
The viral video which quickly went viral, captured the man brandishing a cutlass and dragging it on the ground to intimidate the veiled lady.
He then approached her, pointing the weapon directly at her.
Within seconds, the terrified woman repeatedly exclaimed “a’uzubilah” and fled the scene.
It would be recalled that popular skit maker Trinity Guy, was also recently arrested due to a prank video that featured a minor.
Following this incident, the police issued a warning to all skit makers to regulate their content or face legal consequences.
