Vice President Kashim Shettima and Deputy Senate President Senator Barau Jibrin represented key parties on Saturday at the wedding fatiha of the sons of Kano APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas.

Abbas Abdullahi Abbas married Architect Khadija Attahiru Buhari, while Muhammad Abdullahi Abbas tied the knot with Zulaihat Nasir. Both marriages were solemnized with dowries of N500,000 each.

The ceremony, held at the Alfurqan Jummaat Mosque, was officiated by the mosque’s Chief Imam, Professor Aliyu Omar.

The event drew prominent figures from the APC and beyond, including Minister of Agriculture Abubakar Kyari, former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido, and members of the House of Representatives, such as Appropriation Committee Chairman Abubakar Kabir Abubakar and Downstream Petroleum Committee Chairman Ado Alhassan Doguwa.

Vice President Shettima represented the grooms, Abbas and Muhammad, while Senator Barau Jibrin stood in for the brides, Khadija and Zulaihat.

The Alfurqan Mosque was abuzz with activity as dignitaries from various walks of life gathered to celebrate the unions.

In his remarks, Kano APC Chairman Abdullahi Abbas expressed gratitude to Vice President Shettima, Senator Barau Jibrin, and other dignitaries for honoring his family with their presence.
