Less than three weeks to governorship elections across the country, three governorship candidates in Kano have joined forces with the ADP governorship candidate, Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada.

Daily News 24 reports that the 2023 Kano Governorship candidates who shelved their ambition and endorsed Honourable Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada for the March 11 Governorship elections are Furera Ahmad of the Booth Party (BP), Ashatu Mahmud of the National Reformation Party (NRM), and Ibrahim Muhammad of the All People’s Party (APP). Also, the Deputy Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Abdussalam Gwarmai, has withdrawn his ambition and joined Sha’aban in his effort to rescue Kano.

Receiving the candidates, the Kano ADP Governorship candidate and a member of the House of Representatives for the Municipal Federal Constituency, Honourable Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada welcomed the three gubernatorial candidates in their effort to join forces with him to rescue Kano.

He told the defected governorship candidates that the moment he is sworn in as governor of Kano State, he is going to hit the ground running by going about civil service work and reform through reward and punishment.

Honorable Sha’aban Sharada added that next week he is going to inaugurate a digital platform for empowerment where 50 thousand people are going to be empowered in Kano.

The ADP Governorship candidate also challenged Ganduje’s administration to explain to the people of Kano what his government did with the bailout funds of President Muhammad Buhari’s administration.

In their separate remarks, the governorship candidates who defected to the ADP—Aishatu Mahmud of the National Reformation Party (NRP) and Furera Ahmad of the Booth Party—said they decided to forego their ambitions and support Honourable Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada because he has programs for women and orphans with his good intentions, as did Ibrahim Muhammad of the All People’s Party.

This was contained in a statement issued to Daily News 24 by Abbas Yushau Yusuf, Spokesperson for the ADP Gubernatorial Campaign Council.
