Humankind character trait is rare gifts from God to his chosen servants, such unequal God’s gifts make one stand firm and high above others despite disparities of wealth and affluence, those class of human beings commands respect in the society and amass for themselves huge followership, not for money but true kindness and unbeatable social disposition.
Alhaji Udu Abubakar is, without doubt, a passionate administrator and a crunk civil servants whose visible track records of responsible civil service delivery speaks for itself, a man of wits and uncompromising principles of true and corrupt-free civil service needs no one to blow his trumpet but we are known for identifying with everything good hence the piece to contribute to his amiable contributions to the growth of civil service in Kebbi state.
Udu to say the least is one of the longest-serving head of the civil service in Kebbi, he served many military governments in Kebbi state and two civilian governments, serving and retired civil servants in Kebbi state are the witnesses of his contributions to a virile and active civil service and how hard he fought and firmly stood for their rights when he was steering the boat of civil service in Kebbi state.
During his time no civil servants no matter his connection can approach him with fraudulent ideas or make any attempt to make him compromise the laid down civil service rules, he has been a no-go area to biased civil servants.
Udu has left a huge vacuum when he left the civil service with honor and dignity to pave the way for a change of baton as he has attained retirement period.
Dallatun Gwandu was born in the ancient town of Birnin Kebbi in 1959, he had his primary education at Tudun Wada primary school still in Birnin Kebbi from 1969 to 1975, born by strict Islamic parents young Udu ran both western and Islamic studies currently.
Upon his completion of primary education and armed with Islamic knowledge he enrolled with Government teachers college Binji in Sokoto state from 1975 to 1980, he later proceeded to Bayaro university  Kano at the school of General studies from 1981 to 1985, Udu obtained a degree in history education from the same university in 1985.
Dallatu also attended administrative process and procedures staff college in Badagry Lagos in 2001 as an added qualifications.
Before becoming director of protocols in Kebbi state he attended a protocol training workshop which was then organized by the federal ministry for women affairs Abuja in 2001.
As a trained officer in public service Dallatu left their teaching job as he taught for one year at Nagari science college then Government science college in  Birnin Kebbi, he was a one-time NYSC teacher/liaison officer from 1985 to 1986, one-time principal private secretary in Kebbi state from 1989 to 1991.
His blessed public service life added a feather as he was appointed Director of protocols in Kebbi state from 1996 to 1999, later acting head of the civil service which he was later confirmed before his retirement, he was permanent secretary at various ministries in Kebbi he was in Budget, youths, and sports as permanent secretary.
In his brief political life, Udu was one-time chairman of Kuka/Nayelwa, he is a member  National institute for policy and strategic studies  (NIPSS) which he attended in Kuru Jos which earned him MNI.
Dallatu is happily married with kids as he attended some courses in Singapore and Malaysia while in active service.
The longest-serving head of civil service is in politics to salvage his state and to further serve his people like he always does, the history of  Kebbi civil service is incomplete without  Udu Abubakar a humanist and an epitome of amity.
