Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), has re-opened its registration portal and also announced the tuition fees students are expected to pay for the 2023/2024 academic session.

Daily News 24 had reported exclusively that the varsity had closed its registration portals to students, making both fresh and returning students unable to pay their registration fees.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the university, Sabo Nayaya had explained that the registration portals were closed because the varsity’s senate was preparing the academic calendar for the forthcoming session.

But according to the November 2023 edition of the university’s bulletin, lecturers are expected to commence on December 4, 2023.

The bulletin, stated that the university re-opened since 12 November, 2023 while registration were expected to have commenced from 13 November, 2023 to 26 November, 26, 2023.

Portal now active

The university also explained the reasons why students had been unable to access the registration portals.

“Regarding the delay experienced by most students in accessing their registration portal…it was as a result of the ongoing upgrade of the university registration software.

“Meanwhile, students can now log in and do their registration,” the bulletin announced.

Approved registration fees

According to the ADUSTECH bulletin, the tuition fees for the 2023/2024 academic session were approved in accordance with the 50 percent reduction of tuition charges approved for indigenous students of Kano state by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

“The new charges are in accordance with the Kano State Government Policy of 50 percent reduction in registration for Kano indigenes studying in all higher institutions by Kano State governor and Visitor of the university, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf,” the document announced.

A study of the tuition charges shows that fresh students of Kano origin are to pay N11,850 while returning students of Kano origins are to pay N13,500 for the session.

For non-indigenes of Kano, fresh students are to pay N95,309 while returning students are pay N98,309.

The bulletin added that foreign students will pay an additional N60,000 per session.
