In its efforts to impact the lives of the people of the State positively, the state House of Assembly had reiterated its stand to prioritise the training of human resources for effective service delivery to the Honourable Members of the House, especially in this era of House Autonomy.<\/strong><\/p>\n The Speaker of the State House of Assembly Rt Hon Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari stated this while declaring close a three-day technical session organised by PERL to Honorable Members of the House of Assembly; during the Closing presentation series of papers were presented before the round-up.<\/p>\n Rt Hon Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari said the workshop of this magnitude would go a long way in impacting the day to day Legislative activities, proceedings and Administration in the State House of Assembly positively.<\/p>\n He further stated that “I believed this has awakened and widened our knowledge and understanding on the best Legislative practices on Administration and financial autonomy and also recognise the importance of Independence of the legislature as an arm of government.”<\/p>\n During the round-up session series of papers were presented, which includes among others; Strengthening the oversight functions in the State House of Assembly by Ambassador Jerry Ugokwe, An overview of the Health Sector in the State by Dr Dayyabu Mahmoud Yusuf, Team leader LAFIYA, Kano, as well as an overview of the education in Kano State.<\/p>\n At the end of each segment of the Presentation, micro reports were presented to drill the participants on their understanding of the subject matter at stake.<\/p>\n Similarly, during the round-up, Action plans and steps forward were taken as a guide to help members discharge their mandate.<\/p>\n Closing the Ceremony, the Speaker Rt Hon Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari pledged the support of the House of Assembly to the organisers that are PERL and extended gratitude to the Hon members for their patience throughout the sessions which he described as highly commendable and worthy of emulation.<\/p>\n\n
