{"id":73334,"date":"2023-03-28T15:20:00","date_gmt":"2023-03-28T14:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailynews24.ng\/?p=73334"},"modified":"2023-03-28T14:28:16","modified_gmt":"2023-03-28T13:28:16","slug":"35-killed-in-2-auto-crashes-in-kebbi-frsc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailynews24.ng\/35-killed-in-2-auto-crashes-in-kebbi-frsc\/","title":{"rendered":"35 killed in 2 auto crashes in Kebbi \u2013 FRSC\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Thirty-five persons were killed in two auto crashes that occurred in Kebbi on Sunday and on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FRSC Sector Commander in the state, Mr Yusuf Aliyu-Haruna, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Binrin Kebbi on Tuesday that 40 other persons sustained varying degrees of injuries in the accidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>READ ALSO: <a href=\"https:\/\/dailynews24.ng\/bagudu-visits-buhari-days-after-inconclusive-kebbi-guber-poll\/\">Bagudu visits Buhari days after inconclusive Kebbi guber poll<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that three vehicles were involved in the two crashes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTwelve persons lost their lives in the accident that occurred on Kalgo-Bunza Road on Sunday involving two vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOn Monday, 23 persons lost their lives while travelling in a truck carrying assorted grains from Illela to Ibadan on Jega-Koko Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cInjured victims were taken to General Hospitals in Kalgo and Jega Local Government Areas,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aliyu-Haruna attributed the accidents to overloading, over-speeding and use of expired tyres<a href=\"http:\/\/yandex.com\">.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He cautioned motorists, especially commercial vehicle drivers against excessive speeding and use of expired tyres so as to ensure safety on the highways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sector commander advised motorists against the consumption of illicit substances and urged passengers to support the crusade against reckless driving in Kebbi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(NAN)\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thirty-five persons were killed in two auto crashes that occurred in Kebbi on Sunday and on Monday.
