{"id":76006,"date":"2023-05-25T15:48:04","date_gmt":"2023-05-25T14:48:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailynews24.ng\/?p=76006"},"modified":"2023-05-25T16:51:59","modified_gmt":"2023-05-25T15:51:59","slug":"kano-ministry-of-justice-exonerates-doguwa-of-murder-charges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailynews24.ng\/kano-ministry-of-justice-exonerates-doguwa-of-murder-charges\/","title":{"rendered":"Kano Ministry of Justice exonerates Doguwa of murder charges"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Kano state ministry of justice has exenorated house leader, Alhassan Ado Doguwa accused of culpable homicide and mischief by fire of all charges levelled against him.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Attorney general and commissioner of justice, Musa Abdullahi Lawan made this known while briefing Journalists in Kano on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said, &#8220;based on the foregoing facts and observations, we cannot substantiate charges of criminal conspiracy, mischief by fire and culpable homicide against Doguwa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We cannot find sufficient evidence to link him with the said offences considering that we are faced with so many inculpatory and exculpatory evidence for and against him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The statements of those that implicated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?sa=t&amp;source=web&amp;rct=j&amp;url=https:\/\/www.premiumtimesng.com\/news\/top-news\/593536-house-majority-leader-ado-doguwa-who-is-facing-murder-charges-re-elected.html&amp;ved=2ahUKEwiqubSV25D_AhWRgf0HHanVAY4QFnoECBkQAQ&amp;usg=AOvVaw2Uo33L5YHqYWWs_nUEVly8\">Doguwa<\/a> were full of contradictions and could not find medical evidence to prove the death of the victims<a href=\"http:\/\/dailynews24.ng\">.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The law is clear that the allegations that Doguwa killed people cannot be substantiated.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to him, the eight to 12 suspects would be charged to court with mischief by fire under section 336 of the Penal Code (as amended).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kano state ministry of justice has exenorated house leader, Alhassan Ado Doguwa accused of culpable homicide and mischief by fire of all charges levelled against him.
