36 hours after the abduction of the Emir of Kajuru, Alh. Alhassan Adamu and other 13 family members at his residence by bandits, the emir has regained his freedom after the Bandits released him, but still held on to the members of his family, pending negotiations.
Confirming his release, the top official of the Kajuru local government and the spokesman of the Kajuru Emirate council, Dahiru Abubakar, both confirmed the release of the 85-year-old traditional ruler.
Abubakar confirmed that Emir Adamu was released at an undisclosed location within the Local Government Area.
He further said the emir was in good condition.
