Majalissar Dinkin Duniya (MDD) ta nuna damuwa kan ambaliyar ruwa a Najeriya a bana.
A wani taron manema labarai a hedkwatar Majalisar Dinkin Duniya da ke New York, kakakin Stephane Dujarric ya ce kungiyar ta duniya na bin abubuwan da suka faru.
“Muna matukar damuwa cewa ambaliya za ta kara dagula matsalar karancin abinci da rashin abinci mai gina jiki a Najeriya.”
Dujarric ya lura cewa aƙalla kadada 440,000 na filayen noma sun lalace ko kaɗan.
Majalissar Dinkin Duniya ta kara da cewa “fiye da mutane miliyan 19 a fadin Najeriya na fuskantar matsanancin karancin abinci.”
Kakakin ya ce tun a watan Yuli gwamnatin Najeriya ta samar da abinci da kayan abinci da tsaftataccen ruwan sha ga dubban iyalai.
Majalissar Dinkin Duniya ta ce tana taimaka wa gwamnati da tantancewa da mayar da martani a jihohin Borno, Adamawa, da Yobe da sauran jihohi, tare da abokan huldar jin kai.
Tallafin ya haɗa da na’urorin matsuguni na gaggawa, magudanan ruwa na gida, jakunkuna na yashi, da bangon matsuguni don rage tasirin ambaliya.
Gwamnatin Najeriya ta ce sama da mutane 600 ne suka mutu, yayin da mutane miliyan 1.3 suka rasa matsugunansu.
Hukumar Abinci da Aikin Noma (FAO) ta yi ishara da cewa mai yiwuwa noman hatsi zai ragu da kashi 3.4 bisa dari saboda ambaliya, tsadar noma, da rashin tsaro.
