Executive Director of Kano state censorship board, Sama’ila Na’abba Afakallah has married Famous Kannywood Actress, Rukayya Dawayya on Friday in Kano.
The wedding fatiha took place at Tinshama Friday mosque.
Prominent Kannywood movie stars attended the wedding.
Dawayya, a mother of one, was once married and had quit acting after the marriage. It was reported that after having a child, the marriage crashed and she staged a come back into the film making industry.
It was reliably gathered that, after her failed marriage, the actress became involved with the censorship boss. Afakallah who was also a film producer before his appointment as the state censorship boss has had it wrought with practitioners in the industry as he was on several occasion being accused of being bias in justice application among practitioners.
Speaking after the wedding, Dawayya said she feel fulfilled and prayed for other ladies to have husbands as good as hers.
Actress Rukayya Dawayya biography
The Bride, Rukayya Umar Dawayya was born on 17 October 1985 in Kano. She had her Primary and Secondary schools in Kano where she obtained a certificate in Arabic language in Saudi Arabia.
Dawayya also obtained the National Diploma in Mass Communication from Bayero University Kano.
Rukayya Umar Dawaiya made her film debut in 2000 in her debut film “Dawayya” which earned her the title of Dawayya.
According to her website, she has made a name for herself in the film Dawayya which has inspired her to continue making films. Dawayya has made over 150 films in the Hausa Film industry.
Dawayya is an ambassador to some companies inside and outside Nigeria. She is also a politician and business woman.
