Kano Pillars football club interim management committee has set up a five Man committee to investigate reasons the team lost two matches in the just concluded 2023 Nigeria National league (NNL) Super 8 in Asaba, Delta state.

Daily News 24 reports that committee made the decision following a match held in Asaba between the club and Heartland FC of Owerri.

Heartland beat Kano Pillars 2 – 0 in the final match of the 2023 Nigeria National League Super 8 held at Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.

A statement signed by the secretary of the board, Comrade Sani Ibrahim noted the Kano Pillars FC interim management committee held an emergency meeting after the match.

The Statement said the board was not satisfied with way the club played the last two matches first against Katsina United and most recently, Heartland football club in the super 8.

The committee is mandated to find out why the club lost in the super 8 after its wonderful performance in the first two matches defeating EFCC and DMD football clubs.

The Statement noted that losing the last two matches is not encouraging and measures most be taken to protect future occurrences.

The committee members are: Alhaji Rabi’u Muhammad Pele as Chairman, Engineer Usman Mustapha kofar Na’isa, Rabi’u Ali captain of the team, Abba Rabi’u Maifada (Representative of fans club) as members while Alhaji Bashir Baba Chilla to serve as secretary of the committee.

They are expected to submit their report within one week.
