The Kwara Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC)) has confirmed the death of one person in a crash that occurred at Olooru-Jebba road axis.
Sector Commander Jonathan Owoade, who confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ilorin on Wednesday, said that the crash occured at about 10.05 a.m.
Owoade said that the accident was a lone crash involving an articulated vehicle and attributed it to speed violation.

“This morning our attention was called to a Road Traffic Crash (RTC) involving an articulated vehicle. It was a lone fatal crash before Olooru along Jebba road axis.
“Two persons were involved and sadly one of them lost his life and the corpse has been taken to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital,” he said.
Owoade said that there were no obstruction caused by the accident, urging motorists to be careful and cautious while on the wheels.
He said speeding kills and that once life was lost it cannot be recovered.
Olooru is a community on the outskirts of Ilorin, the state capital. (NAN)
