The wife of Kano state governor, Professor Hafsat Umar Ganduje has called on the people of Tudun-wada, Duguwa Federal constituency to re-elect the current Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Doguwa come 2023.

She was optimistic that if Doguwa secures another mandate in 2023, given his record of performance and unalloyed loyalty to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), he stands a better chance to clinching the speakership of the House of Representatives in the next Legislative Assembly.

She stated this at Doguwa, in a remark preceding the flag off of an empowerment programme for over 2000 people in Tudun-Wada/Doguwa federal constituency.

The lawmaker has donated N70million cash, 103 units of tricycles, 2 trailer load of rice and three trailer loads of fertiliser for distribution to over 2000 people in his constituency.

The initiative was meant to alleviate the hardship occasioned by poor harvest and COVID-19 pandemic as well as the desire to ensure self-reliance among youth and women populations within the constituency.

Daily News24 gathered that this was the second phase of the empowerment programme undertaken by the lawmaker after the first one at Tudun-Wada local government earlier this year.

Among the beneficiaries were over 100 businessmen selected from the two local government areas whose businesses had collapsed as a result of the economic effects of COVID-19 pandemic.

Each of the businessmen has received a buffer of N500, 000 cash with a view to help them revive their businesses.

In her remarks, Professor Hafsat Abdullahi Ganduje extolled the leadership qualities of the lawmaker, describing his love for his people as uncommon.’

She congratulated the people of Tudun-Wada/Doguwa federal constituency for having Doguwa as their representative.

While calling on the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the items for their personal development and the development of their respective societies, Professor Ganduje also enjoined people of Tudun-Wada/Doguwa constituency to continue to support his political aspirations for more “goodies” and more developmental projects in the area.

According to her, “We are happy, the more you allow him, the more you give him opportunity, the more you encourage him to go and aspire higher in life the more goodies, the more things, the beauty will come to Tudun-Wada and Doguwa local governments.

“For a representative to look at a small primary medical centre in his constituency and think ahead of others to ensure that that Primary Healthcare centre is upgraded it means he is there for business.

“We have seen so many things he has done, so many impact he has made on the generality of people that he is representing in Tudun-wada/Doguwa local government areas, most importantly, we have to keep rewinding as he is succeeding in the house of representatives, as he is making arrangements to ensure that all what we require, be it hospital, be it road network, schools, water supply and many more is brought to this place.

“I’m happy, looking at the love, the trust that has been established between him and his people. I am amaze to learn that no 40 days passes by without empowerment programme being conducted here.

“This is the man we are proud of, this is the man we are sure of his loyalty 100 percent. This is somebody very rare to have, that is why I encourage you, I enjoin us all to join our hands together to support him to continue be member of that house and by God’s grace, from majority leader, God is going to elevate him to the Right hounrable speaker.

“Today Goggo is standing before you, Goggo is appealing, Goggo is begging you let us join our hands in prayer, to give him the best, let us continue to give him opportunity so that he can serve us better. He is our servant anywhere he goes he is representing us, he has already demonstrated that, so join me in prayers so that by 2023 insha Allah he is going back to the house not as majority leader but as the Right Honourable speaker” She concluded.

Daily News24 had observed that already posters of the lawmaker along with Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje have started flooding the constituency ahead of the 2023 elections.
