No fewer than 18 corps members of the 2021 Batch A, stream 2 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Kano State will repeat their service year for committing various offenses while serving.

The state coordinator of the scheme, Hajiya Aisha Tata revealed this today during the Passing out Parade (POP) for the 2021 Batch “A”, stream 2  corps members.

”’Out of the 1,936 corps members slated for passing out today, 12 corps members will have their service year extended. I regret to announce that we lost two corps members during the course of service in the state.

”I also call on his excellency, the executive governor of Kano state to resume the payment of state allowance to corps members serving in the state. The gesture if accomplished, will go a long way to ensure that corps members redouble their efforts toward serving their fatherland with diligence and enthusiasm.

”There is also an urgent need for the provision of befitting lodges across the 44 local government areas of the state to enable us to exercise the posting of corps members to rural areas where they are needed for their primary assignment. We will continue to partner and identify with the administration of governor Umar Ganduje in all the areas of need.” The state coordinator said.

The corps members who were passing out couldn’t hide their happiness and they were seen in groups taking selfies, dancing, and enjoying the moment.

Ene Jemimah told Daily News 24 that her joy knew no bounds as the day she was waiting for had finally come to fulfillment.

”Words cannot express how i feel but all I can say is that I a thankful to God that this journey has finally come to an end.

Daniel Johnson said ”The one year which I taught will never come to an end has finally elapsed and I really want to appreciate God and everyone who supported me right from the beginning of the journey. I started at Uni Uyo right from 2014 and I completed B.Sc in another university.

“The struggle of my life has finally begun and this is my greatest joy.  I am now a full political scientist in the labor market and I believe I will establish myself as soon as possible. God bless Editorial and Publicity CDS”

Ofure Isidahomeh said she has entered a new phase of her life, adding that it is a call to more responsibility. ”This is a reawakening to much more responsibilities that await me and I now have to face the reality of life and hope for the best.

”Knowing where I come from, this day is a big day for me. I cannot hide my feeling and excitement” Said Agada Nathaniel.
