Nasarawa United Football Club of Lafia on Saturday announced the signing on of six new players ahead of the 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
Eche Amos, the club’s Media Officer, disclosed in a statement that the new signings included two goalkeepers and one of their former players.
He listed the new signings to include Sulaiman Jamilu, an attacker from Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna, and right full-back Victor Dennis from Plateau United FC.
Others are central defender Benjamin Fredrick, from ABS FC of Ilorin, goalkeepers Yinka David and Jerry Isaac from Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna and MFM FC of Lagos respectively.
Amos added that the sixth signing-on was Anas Yusuf who returned to the Solid Miners’ squad following a spell with Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi last season.
“Nasarawa United will sign on a few more players in the coming days to further solidify the squad,” he said.
The club spokesman disclosed also that the team have lined up some top-grade pre-season games to blend the new acquisitions with existing players.
“This is in order to keep the players in fine form ahead of the new season.”
