Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National leader of the All progressives Congress and aspirant for the forthcoming 2023 presidential election has said he is ready to fight dirty, in his quest to become the next president of Nigeria.

Tinubu while on a visit to Lekan Balogun, the Olubadan designate, on Sunday, at his residence in Alarere, Ibadan sought the blessing and support of the Ibadan people as regards his presidential ambition.

The presidential aspirant expressed his readiness and determination to succeed, saying no intimidation or blackmail can stop him from pursuing his quest for the presidency.

He said “Each time a Yoruba wants to be president, issues are raised, questions are asked and all sorts of hang-ups are encountered.

“We are at a crossroads. People are volunteering to confront me when they were asked who would confront the Lion of Bourdillon.

“I’m out to become the president of Nigeria. No intimidation, no blackmail can stop me. I have read about a Greek philosopher that if you want to fight a pig, you must be ready to be smeared and I’m ready to be dirty.” Tinubu said.

Nigerians react

The next president of Nigeria must be an Igbo man in the interest of national unity. (Femi Aribisala)

@olaowoyomi posted “Asiwaju Tinubu said he has accepted all the attacks and muds thrown at him by all manners of people as a price to pay for venturing into politics and seeking to be President of Nigeria. Asiwaju said he is prepared for more dirts.”
