A popular Kannywood celebrity, Sani Danja has described the traditional red caps worn by supporters of the Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as a red card for candidates other political parties.
Danja stated this on Sunday at in Kano at the commissioning ceremony of the party’s campaign office of Kano state.
The gathering of party supporters, candidates, businessmen and celebrities defied the scourging heat as they patiently waited for their leader Kwankwaso.
Entertaining the gathering with political songs and praises, Danja delivered a brief address asking the mammoth crowd to raise their red caps up which they all did.
“Raise your red caps up, everyone, remove your red caps and raise it up.
“This is issuing them a red card as you take over leadership” he stated.
The crowd repeatedly chanted Kwankwaso in chorus at the top of their voices as they joyfully waited for his arrival.
Meanwhile, about three kilometers away from the venue of the event along the same rout, the Kano state gubernatorial candidate of the party Abba Kabir Yusuf, his running mate Aminu Abdussalam and others have pulled another large crowd waiting by the road side to receive Kwankwaso.
