Nasarawa State House of Assemblyman Muluku Agah has cautioned aspirants and political parties against of blackmail and character assassination.

Agah, member representing Nassarawa Eggon East Constituency in assembly, made the call while declaring his 2023 re-election bid on Saturday in Alogani, Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the state.

He advised party officials and other members of the party to continue to play the game by its rules in the interest of peace.

Agah, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Planning, Budget and SDGs, said he visited to congratulate and identify with the wards executive members on their victory at the party congress and to declare his ambition to re-contest for the legislative seat.

“I am here to identify and congratulate you for your election as executive members of our great party, APC, of Alogani electoral ward.

“I want to assure you of my continued support at all times.

“As you are all aware of what I have done and still doing in improving on your standard of living and the standard of living of our people in Nassarawa Eggon East constituency.

“I have have done my best and still doing my best in the area of provision of basic infrastructure, employment, assistance to students, sick ones, among others.

“I want to assure you of my continued commitment to represent you well at all times,” he said.

Agah also pledged to provide more democratic dividends, if given another opportunity.

The lawmaker urged them to continue to unite and embrace team work for the progress of the party.

He solicited for the support of all and sundry to enable him and the party succeed beyond 2023.

Agah further called on his constituents to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed beyond 2023.

Responding, Mr Halaru Umar-Ayaka, the APC Chairman, Alogani electoral ward, appreciated the lawmaker for always identifying with them and called for its sustenance.

While assuring Agah of their support at all times, the chairman also prayed and wished the lawmaker good luck beyond 2023.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the meeting was also attended by Mr Mohammed Sule, former Speaker; and Mr Haruna Musa,  former Deputy Speaker, Nassarawa Eggon Legislative Council, among other stakeholders and youths. (NAN)
