Seyi Tinubu, the son of All Progressives Congress presidential candidate Bola Tinubu, led a rally in Kano State on Sunday in support of his father in the upcoming 2023 presidential election.
Baffa Babba Danagundi, the director of the Tinubu/Shettima campaign support group, who spoke at the event, said the rally is aimed at encouraging Tinubu supporters to obtain their Permanent Voters Card, PVC.
The rally, dubbed the “one million man PVC march,” halted commercial activity in Kano for several hours.
The Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, who was also present at the rally, stated that the rally was held to demonstrate that Tinubu would receive the most votes in the state in February 2023.
“We planned this one million PVC show walk to demonstrate that the state is for Tinubu,” he says.
