Kashim Shettima, the vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has revealed that his principal, Bola Tinubu, is healthier than him.
This was stated by Mr Shettima on Sunday night during Fashin Baki, a live Facebook discussion program hosted by Bulama Bukarti, Nasir Zango, Abba Hikima, and Jaafar Jaafar.
Concerns have been expressed about the APC presidential candidate’s health, with some claiming he is unfit to serve as president.
Mr Tinubu, on the other hand, was said to be healthier than Mr Shettima because he did not have diabetes or hypertension.
“Let me state unequivocally that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is in good health. Aside from politics, he is physically and mentally fit to be Nigeria’s president. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is in better health than I am because I have diabetes and hypertension, whereas he does not. Even the early Parkinson’s disease mentioned is simply a lack of sleep. He will be asymptomatic once he gets enough sleep.
“Leadership is not like doing unskilled labor like carrying cement bags. It’s more mental than physical work. Former American Presidents Theodore Roosevelt, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, and Daniel arap Moi, as well as former Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika and Kenyan President Daniel arap Moi, all pushed their countries to economic prosperity while using wheelchairs,” Mr Shettima explained.
