24 muslims get Zakkat, Sadakat from NASFAT in Kaduna

Self reliant has come way for no fewer than 24 people in Kaduna who are beneficiaries and recipients of this year’s NASFAT Kaduna branch Zakat Distribution and presentation.

They have however been appealed to make judicious use of the items given in other to reciprocate the kind gesture to those in need, as well to be part of those who will earn the reward attached to giving out zakat.

Chairman of the NASFAT Kaduna zakkat /sadakat committee, Ustaz Abdulrazaq Zulqurnain while giving his speech explained that the empowerment programme championed by the kaduna NASFAT ZAKKAT/Sadakat committee was borne out of the need to revive one of the most neglected pillars of Islam.

“Our objective is to provide topmost zakkat assessment, collection and distribution to deserving vulnerable individuals who are either members of NAFSAT or non-members. This is in line with Quran 9:60”.

While enumerating the distribution and presentation success as recorded by the committes, he hinted that, this year 2021, Kaduna branch NASFAT ZAKKAT /sadakat were able to generate N4,409,729.23 naira, with 73 letters of request received by the committee out of which 24 letters were treated.

“The aim of distributing all these empowerent equipment and material is to reawaken the commandment of Allah SWT and Sunnah of His messenger. Through Zakkat/Sadaqah committee activities, we have been able to bridge the gap between the rich and the less priviledge in the society.

“To the beneficiaries, this is a wake up call, it’s indeed trust placed on you and us. We encourage you to do whatever you have told us you wanted to do with utmost sincerity, we will be readily available for you, to guide and direct you in your chosen line of businesses” he pleaded.

In his key note address, zonal chairman, Alhaji Kabir Inuwa Bello who stressed the importance of zakkat, said it can never be over emphasized, and appreciated the effort of the committee in making sure zakkat collection, management and distribution is encouraged and processed in a transparent way.

He has acknowledged the donors to affirmed that it is not easy to part away ones money even though zakkat is a decree by the Almighty, and also appealed to the beneficiaries to make use of the items judiciously.

Earlier in his opening speech, Branch chairman of Kaduna NASFAT, Engr. M A yusf implored those who are yet to pay their zakkat to do so emphasized zakkat goes a long way in benefiting the needy.

This year’s empowerment programme which is the fifth series since it’s inception as explained, has intervened in no small measure in the areas of health, education access, sadaqatul jariya to orphans, widows, visitation to IDP camps and youth empowerent.

Items distributed includes; Deep freezers, sewing machine, cash items, food stuffs, wrappers among others.
