Following the suspension of the Kano Public Complaints and Anti Corruption Chairman Muhyi Magaji Rimin Gado for one month by the State House of Assembly to allow for a probe into some allegations against him, an acting Chairman has been appointed.
Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has approved Barrister Mahmoud Balarabe, who is currently a Director for Public Prosecution with the state Ministry of Justice, as acting Executive Chairman of Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission.
According to the laid down procedures establishing the Commission, the appointment is with immediate effect and directed the acting Executive Chairman to discharge his duties diligently, according to the laid down procedures establishing the Commission.
Muhuyi Magaji Rimin Gado, the Suspended Anti Corruption Czar, was accused of refusing to accept the posting of a new Accountant to replace a level 4 officer allegedly serving there.
The embattled anti-Corruption Czar runs into trouble when the State Government allegedly found that he was running a life above his earnings, including having a palatable house around a chosen area of the State.
But, Muhyi Magaji Rimin Gado was said to have denied all allegations against him boosting to allow for an open probe into his activities.
