Kano State Consumer Protection Council has identified and raid a house where the fake engine oil is produced.
The house was located at Rijiyar Lemo quarters in Fagge local government area.
The Managing Director of the council, Dr Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, disclosed this adding that the council has also identified another place at Kwanar Ungogo where about three hundred gallons of pirated engine oil labelled with logos and stickers of different engine oil companies were confiscated.

Dr Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, who the Senior Special Assistant represented to the Governor on KAROTA Nasiru Usman Na’ibawa, also said the products were confirmed to be fake and adulterated can cause damage to vehicles, engines and other generators.
He said all the products were taken to the council’s warehouse for further investigation and necessary action against the unscrupulous persons dealing in such kind of business.
In another development, Kano State Consumer Protection Council has confiscated about two trucks load of sacks of animal feeds mixed with rice dust at Singa market.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on KAROTA Nasiru Usman Na’ibawa said the council got information about the animal feeds from a customer who bought it from the market. The council confirmed it to be adulterated.
The council realised that the culprits use the sacks of a registered animal feeds company for rebagging their products.
