Nigeria Guild of Medical Directors has honoured Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State with the award of Most Outstanding Governor of the Federation in the Management of COVID-19.
Information about the award is in a  statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Kano State Ministry of Health, Mrs Hadiza Namadi, on Thursday.
She stated that Ganduje was presented with the award during the guild’s International Conference in Abuja.

She stated that the award was received by the Commissioner for Health, Dr Aminu Tsanyawa, who represented the governor.
After receiving the award, Tsanyawa said the state government had invested a lot of resources in the fight against COVID-19.
He added that the government was committed to improving healthcare delivery services in the state.
The public relations officer noted that the guild also honoured Dr Usman Tijjani, the state’s Executive Secretary, Private Health Institution Management Agency, for Outstanding Performance on Massive Campaign Against Quackery. (NAN)
