Nigerian Institute of Public Relations plan to organise summit in which stakeholders from all the sectors of human lives will discuss, and come up with the panacea to Nigerian problems.

Zonal Coordinator of the Northwest summit, Dr. Sule Ya’u Sule stated this to newsmen on Wednesday evening.

Dr. Ya’u maintained that it’s necessary to organize such, in order to have a full representational view of all the Nigerian people.

“The first one that is taking place on 14 October in the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria, will give us a detail account of where to head to during the National one which is coming up on 25 November.

“This step of meeting the Media people will serve as sensitization exercise to all the people residing within the Northwest zone, to know what’s expected of them during the summit, because different set of intellectuals, representation from religious leaders, tribal organisations, all Chairmen of State NIPR will sit together to discuss and iron out panaceas that will work for us,” Dr. Sule stated.

The Former Kano State Leader of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations further added that, it’s imperative looking at the ethnic, religious, tribal and other problems capable of bringing social disharmony in our today’s Nigeria.

“Our drafted copy of the summit will be given to the Presidency to implement what’s available for them, because as a Professional body of intellectuals, representation from different set of people will give us clear picture of what’s even the problem that bedevils our people, which is no political inclination because Political Leaders will be also be part of it.

“In another word, you can say the summit will serve as ‘NATIONAL INTEGRATION, PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT’S one,” Zonal Coordinator reiterated.

Zonal Organising Committee which is also comprise of Head of all the Media Organisations said, NIPR as a professional body that attained the status of a Chartered Institute in June 1990 through Decree No. 16 (now an Act of the National Assembly) from which it derives the power and responsibility to set parameters of knowledge to acquire to qualify to practice, regulate not only the practice and development of the PR Profession as well monitor professional conducts through an established Code of Ethics, amongst others, but also to share common values that will help in National Integration.

”As an organising body of Northwestern Zonal State, we’ll try as much as possible to bring in various set of people to key into the 14 of this month NIPR summit, to give their quota in designing ways that will work for the people and Nation at large,” Sule Ya’u said.
