Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has congratulated the re-elected President of the Nigerian Union of a Journalists (NUJ), Mr. Chris Isiguzo.
In a statement by the commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, Governor Ganduje expressed confidence in his ability as re-elected president to take the practice of journalism to the next level.

He called on him to ensure that professionalism and high ethical standards are entrenched in the practice of journalism in the country, and tasked officers and members of the Fourth Estate of the Realm to work with him to further develop the country.
The statement also hoped that the re-elected President can be expected to discharge the responsibility of leading the NUJ to greater heights of accomplishment with distinction.
It also urged him to endeavour to key into the desire of Nigerians for good governance and lead the body of journalists to open up new vistas for the practice of journalism in Nigeria.
