Three Nigerians injured in the 2015 Mecca crane crash have said they are yet to receive a dime from any quota.

This is contrary to the report that the king of Saudi Arabia has authorized the payment of N398.1M to the dead and surviving victims.

One of the victims from Kaduna State, Alhaji Ibrahim Sani, said the three Nigerians injured in the crash would be getting a sum of N79.5M while the family of the six deceased victims will be receiving a sum of N318.6M.

Ibrahim said because of this, the two victims of Kaduna state who have waited for six years would be seeking the intervention of the state Governor, Mall. Nasiru El-Rufai to ensure that justice is done.

According to him, the then Consul-General to Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Umar, in 2015 assured that the money would be paid directly to the relations of those killed in the Mecca crane crash, while the surviving victims will receive it personally.

He, however, expressed dismay that all efforts to get their rights to prove futile. Hence the need to cry out to relevant authorities.

He also called on the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to check its records to see the hindrances.

Ibrahim further noted that they decided to cry out because of one the injured victims died recently while waiting for compensation.

He, therefore, passionately called on Mal. Nasiru El-Rufai to step into the matter and see that justice is done to them while they are alive.
