The Bauchi state government has approved the appointment of 15 Special Advisers and five heads of government agencies.

A statement signed by Mukhtar Gidado, the adviser on media to Gov. Bala Muhammad, and made available to newsmen in Bauchi, on Tuesday, indicated that the appointments were based on the track records of the appointees.

According to the statement, the appointees have since been deployed to their respective positions as indicated in their appointment letters.

He said the appointees were carefully selected based on a consideration of their wealth of experience, capabilities and the ability to contribute in moving the state forward.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the special advisers are Hashimu Yakubu, Prof. Sani Malam, Sanusi Isa, Danladi Danbaba, Abdon Gin, Ahmed Mohammed and Tukur Adamu.

Others are Maula Aliyu, Zainab Rufai, Kefas Magaji, USA Babayo, Abubakar Salihu, Abubakar Faggo, Garba Kawu and Adamu Madaki.

NAN also reports that those appointed as head of agencies were Babayo Madara as the chairman of the state Rural Water Supply Agency (RUWASS).

Dr. Sambo Alkali, hospital board, Yalwa Tafawa Balewa, Bauchi Agency for Orphaned and Vulnerable children (BASOVCA).

Nasiru Hamma, Chairman, Bauchi State Nomadic Education Agency (BASANE), Dr. Abdurrahaman Idris, Executive Secretary, Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board and Mas’udu Aliyu as Chairman of the Drugs Consumables Agency.
