The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted a reduction in horizontal visibility over the northern parts of the country in the next six hours.

The NiNet’s weather alert released on Thursday in Abuja predicted fresh dust to be transported into the northern parts of Nigeria from Chad and Niger republics.

“Currently dust is in suspension over Chad Republic and Niger Republic. This fresh dust is expected to be transported into the northern parts of Nigeria. Therefore a further reduction in horizontal visibility is anticipated.

“The dust is expected to be transported into Nigeria within the next six hours from the time of issue of this alert,” the NiMet alert stated. (NAN)
