Hon Suleiman Abdurrahman Kawu Sumaila, OFR, quintessential political scientist, Educationist and, Author was born on the 3rd March, 1968 at Sumaila Town headquarters of Sumaila Local Government Area of Kano state.

A cleric of note, he began his early education at
Sumaila Gabas Primary School between 1976 – 1982 from where he proceeded to Senior Secondary School Sumaila, 1982 – 1988.

Kawu Sumaila OFR quest for personal development took him to BUK Bayero University Kano 2000 – 2002, and was at Bayero University Kano again in 2005 – 2006.

Not done yet with educational pursuit , he enrolled for a programme at the National Open University of Nigeria between 2013 – 2015, from where he returned to Bayero University Kano again in 2017.

The former minority leader was at Maryam Abacha American University, Maradi in 2019
He is currently a PhD student at Al-Qalam University Katsina 2019 to Date.

Hon. Suleiman Abdurrahman Kawu Sumaila, OFR journey to 4 different citadel of learning within a space of 9 years and still counting earned him academic laurels as follows : Ph.D. Political Science (In view) MSc Political Science
