The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated the Chairman of its Governors Forum, Gov. Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State as he turns 56.
The party described him as a humble, versatile, and dynamic leader, an outstanding nationalist, and a courageous democrat.

This is contained in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba in Abuja on Monday.
The party said as Speaker of the House of Representatives and now two-term governor, Tambuwal had continued to play key roles toward the unity, peaceful co-existence, and development of the nation.
“As the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tambuwal with excellent political dexterity deepened our democratic practice for more transparent and productive governance.
“By reinforcing the principle of separation of powers as well as asserting the independence of the legislature as enshrined in the 1999 Constitution (as amended).
“As Governor, Tambuwal continues to display a remarkable commitment toward the wellbeing of his people as evident in his developmental projects in critical sectors including education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure and urban and rural development among others.’’
According to the party, as a leader and particularly as the Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, Tambuwal remains committed to the unity, stability, growth, and electoral success of the PDP.
“His dedication toward the success of the reconciliatory efforts in our Party has been pivotal in further repositioning the PDP as the platform for Nigerians to Rescue and Rebuild our nation from misrule.’’
The party prayed to God to grant him many more years in good health, as well as greater service to his fatherland and humanity at large.
