The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ondo State Command, said one person died and 10 others injured on Tuesday in a lone accident at Okerigbo on Ikare-Akungba road in Akoko South-West Local Government area of the state.
Mr Ezekiel SonAllah, the State Sector Commander of FRSC, made the disclosure while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Akure.
SonAllah explained that the accident occurred at about 2:45 p.m. when a truck was ascending the Okerigbo hill and had brake failure.

He said 15 people comprising 14 male adults and one female adult were involved in the accident.
The commander said that the corpse was deposited at the state general hospital, Ikare-Akoko, while the injured victims were also taken to the same hospital for treatment.
“The accident involved 14 males and one female, while the male died, nine other males with the only female were injured.
“It is a lone accident, though the truck was loaded with goods and passengers, while the accident was due to brake failure and the driver lost control of the vehicle,” he said.
SonAllah appealed to motorists to ensure that their vehicles were in good condition before embarking on any journey and avoid overloading. (NAN)
