Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel said he and not Kepa Arrizabalaga is to blame for the Blues’ penalty shootout defeat to Liverpool in the final of the Carabao Cup on Sunday.
Liverpool clinched a record ninth League Cup title after edging Chelsea in a dramatic 11-10 penalty shootout win after 120 minutes of football ended goalless.
Arrizabalaga replaced Edouard Mendy a few minutes to the end of second-half extra-time.

And with the scores locked at 10-10, Liverpool keeper Caoimhin Kelleher converted his spot-kick, meaning Arrizabalaga needed to bury his.
However, the £71million man, who has become known for his shootout antics, blazed his effort over the bar.
And reacting after the defeat, Tuchel said in his post-match:” Do you think we do this and don’t talk to the players? The players know the plan and we have done it before.
“If you want to blame somebody, blame me; this is not a problem.
“I make the decisions and I don’t take them to try to be the hero. It took 11 penalties to find the winner. And if you want to blame anyone blame me, there’s no problem.” (Completesports)
