In its bid to promote Made-in-Nigeria products for exports, the Organisation of Youths in International Trade and Commerce, OY-ITC has organised a stakeholders sensitization forum for Kano businessmen.
The forum was organized in collaboration with the Buy Naija Project, the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment and the Committee of Youth on Mobilisation and Sensitization.
OY-ITC is sensitizing stakeholders ahead of its Trade Show and Exhibition coming up in Houston from May 30 to June 4 2022.
The summit will serve as a springboard for Nigerian youths to key into international trade and commerce by expanding their network through the exchange of information and business opportunities.
Speaking at the Forum in Kano, the President of OY-ITC, Mr Chinedu Amadi says the target of the Trade Show and Exhibition is to bring Nigerian content to Houston and enhance international trade opportunities between firms, individuals and stakeholders.
“The OY-ITC in response to activating non-oil export championed by young entrepreneurs in Nigeria was designed to showcase the creativity, productivity and competencies of Nigerians in trade and commerce while mentoring them for export, trade and curbing youths restiveness.” He said.
In her remarks, the Kano State Programme Coordinator, OY-ITC, Nafisa Nasir who reiterated the importance of the event said; “it is aimed at mobilising and sensitizing all stakeholders in a bid to support made in Nigeria products and services to know the importance of trade shows in foreign countries.
The forum titled, ‘The Role of Trade Exhibition in Promoting Non-Oil Export and Its Effect on Nigerian Economy’ had representatives from the office of the Kano First Lady, Professor Hafsat Ganduje, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Buy Naija Project and Committee of Youth on Mobilisation and Sensitization.
OY-ITC endorses Umar Gombe as ambassador
The Organization of Youths – in International Trade and Commerce OY-ITC, a non-profit organization that supports the development and advancement of Nigerian youths in international trade and commerce by providing educational and networking opportunities has endorsed Kannywood Actor, UmarSani Labaran popularly known as Umar Gombe as Ambassador.
Umar Gombe is a remarkable Kannywood actor, director and producer has starred in over one hundred movies and a number of television and comedy shows in Nigeria.
While reacting to the endorsement, Umar Gombe said: “OY-ITC is the best thing to happen to Nigerian entrepreneurs, and I am glad to be part of the OY-ITC family in collaboration with Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment.
