The Kano State Commissioner of Police, CP Sama’ila Shua’ibu Dikko has cautioned Kano residents to shun breaking of law and order during the Eid-el-Fitr celebration in the state.
The Police Commissioner made this known in a statement by the spokesperson of the command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa.
Samaila Dikko advised that “residents going to Eid ground should not be seen carrying any suspicious item on and around them.
“Underaged children and unlicensed persons are not allowed to operate any form of vehicles”. He added.

PPRO of Kano state Police Command Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa explained that parents and guidance should accompany their children to wherever they go as to avoid the cases of kidnapping.
He reiterated that “individuals should avoid any illicit act that will breach peace, break laws and order of the state, as the police are everywhere and will catch the perpetrators who will face the wrath of the law.
“Rigorous patrols and raids of criminal hideout, operation puff adder will continue as to avert any breach of peace by criminals” he said.
Kiyawa revealed that Kano state that police officers have been deployed to different places, especially to praying grounds, recreational centers and have collaborated with other security agencies, civil volunteers body to ensure the safety of residents as police is always their friend.

The commissioner of police lastly call on Kano residents to use the month of Ramadan to pray for the state, have a peaceful, wonderful celebration with their families.
The Eid ul fitr will be on Monday, 2nd and 3rd May respectively.
