Former Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly and Chairman House on Pension, Kabiru Alhassan Rurum has announced his defection from the All Progressives Congress.
Rurum, a gubernatorial aspirant in APC was not satisfied with the decision of Ganduje to anoint his Deputy Nasiru Gawuna as governor and Murtala Sule Garo as his running mate last night in a meeting at Kano Government House.
The action according to the former Speaker was unfair not only to him but to the Kano South Senatorial District that has not produced a governor or Deputy since 1992, Politics Digest reports.
