Tukur Mamu, the arrested terrorists’ negotiator for the Abuja-Kaduna train attack, had his home raided by Department of State Services (DSS) operatives in the early hours of Thursday.

The residence was visited by operatives in approximately 20 vehicles.

“They ransacked the house and carted away documents, phones, and laptops,” according to a Daily Trust report.

“Those present were ordered to sign a document before the officers returned it.”

According to the report, the freed victims of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack converged on Mamu’s office before being reunited with their families each time.

According to a source, the operatives took some documents, phones, and laptops during a search of Mamu’s home.

According to a resident, “after they finished with his house, the operatives went to his office in Kaduna.”

According to security sources, Mamu was apprehended for allegedly collecting ransom and delivering it to terrorists in exchange for the kidnapped victims.

Mamu was arrested at Kano’s Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport on Wednesday afternoon, according to DSS spokesman Peter Afunanya.

The negotiator was detained for 24 hours in Egypt before being flown back to Nigeria.

When the plane carrying Tukur Mamu and his family landed in Kano around 1:55 p.m., he was immediately picked up by the DSS.
