The Kano State Police Command has debunked a trending report that claimed terrorists had invaded a community in the state.

The Command described the said report as a malicious attempt that wanted to feast on tensions in other parts of the country to disrupt the peace in the state.

The command, however, confirmed that what was erroneously reported as a terrorist attack last week was actually a communal clash between three villages in the Rogo Local Government Area of the state, which happened in August.

The spokesman for the command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, in a statement, said the state Commissioner of Police, Abubakar Lawal, enjoined residents of the state to verify facts before informing the public.
