PRP gubernatorial candidate interacts with NGOs

Kano state governorship candidate under Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) Salihu Tanko Yakasai has participated at the interactive session for gubernatorial candidates organized by 21 Non-Governmental Organizations in Kano.

The event is part of the series of programs organized by Kano NGOs to interact with all contestants and know what they plan for the state in the forthcoming 2023 elections.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Spokesperson of the PRP Governorship candidate, Suhaib Auwal Gwagwarwa, and made available to newsmen in Kano.

Salihu Tanko Yakasai said, “We recently unveiled our manifesto which clearly defines the problems bedeviling the development of our dear state, and we offered workable solutions to such problems.”

The PRP gubernatorial candidate further stated that “We are going to focus on seven key areas, economic growth, health, education, infrastructure, environment, public service reform, and security”

Adding that “Before we come up with this manifesto, we did extensive research, which enabled us to identify the areas that require urgent attention, therefore, by knowing the problems critically, it will be easy for us to address them squarely.”

Speaking on the economic sector, Salihu Tanko Yakasai explained that they plan to increase the Internally Generated Revenue of Kano State from 2 billion Naira to 10 billion Naira on monthly basis by upgrading revenue generating system.

“On the health sector, we are going to improve the welfare of the medical personnel and create an enabling working environment for them, as well as coming up with new employment modalities that would enable us to employ new personnel anytime when the need arises.”

The PRP gubernatorial called on the NGOs and public to visit PRP campaign website www.dawisu.com, as it serve as an interaction avenue between the gubernatorial candidate, his campaign council and teeming supporters across the world. It also allows people to register as a volunteer of Dawisu 2023, while it provides of reliable news regarding activities of PRR in Kano State.

He urges other contestants to come up with their manifesto and make it available to people so that the 2023 campaign would be an issue-based campaign.
