A 42-year-old woman, Bosede Enigbokun, who allegedly poured her urine from her flat in a storey building, was on Monday docked in an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.

The defendant, a trader is standing trial before magistrate L.J.k Layeni, on  two counts charge of causing breach of peace and assault

She, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Prosecution Counsel, Dr Simon Uche, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Oct. 3 at No.2 Sunny St. in the Ajangbadi area of Ojo Lagos.

He alleged that the defendant who occupies a flat on the top floor of the building, threw her urine on the ground floor occupied by other tenants, causing environmental pollution to their annoyance.

The defendant was also alleged to have assaulted a fellow neighbour, Mr Adesina Oloye, who had confronted her and tore his “Ankara attire”.

The offence, he said, contravenes the provisions of sections 168(d) and 172 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.

The court granted the defendant bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.

He adjourned the case until Dec. 28 for trial.
